1. No matter how exciting something was, Dad used to say everything was 'alright'. This could range from something average to something amazing. I'd ask his opinion and I could always rely on an 'alright'. Deviations from his favourite word include; 'ok' which meant it wasn't very good and 'interesting' or 'different' which meant it was bad. 2. Dad always pulled silly faces when I took photos, he could never be serious, although he was on his best behaviour at our wedding! 3. Dad wasn't a natural swimmer and pulled a funny face when he swam, he found it a real struggle and I used to take the micky out of him. Dad said he couldn't float and I said everyone could, so I taught him how in Menorca, where we went for his 50th birthday. 4. Dad was obsessed by sell by dates and used to check everything in Julie's fridge and then she'd get told off, I thought it was so funny. 5. Dad used to drive quite slowly and when he helped to teach me he'd tell me to slow down and stop talking so much!
