Dad was an integral and popular member of Rodley Cricket Club for many years and was known affectionately as 'Darky Mufton', as well as many other nicknames. He was the Club Treasurer and also cared for the ground, looking after the wicket and keeping everything running smoothly at the club. He has also been captain for the club a few times and was a keen batsman, known for both ducks and slogging the ball around for 4s and 6s! He was also an impressive bowler, and in his last match he ever played, he saved the second team from relogation, winning him the Second Team Player of the Year award, an award he sadly never picked up, but was told about on his last day. He is sadly missed by his cricket friends, but his legacy will never be forgotten.
